One of a Kind - The Tiny Bunny Necklace of Figment Forest in fine 999 Silver

The forest is full of sounds today, and the sunlight is breaking through the thick maze of tree branches above you. The air is still with barely a wisp of a breeze tickling the bluebells and the daisies at your feet, causing them to bob and dance just ever so slightly. You spot something tiny, something fluffy, through the dense flowers and long blades of meadow grass. There is a tiny bunny - perfect and new, with her little whiskers twitching against each flower as she decides which one to nibble first. This sweet and perfect sight is one that you hope to hold forever in your memories.

All the Details

The Tiny Bunny Necklace comprises of the bunny pendant, soldered jump ring, and fine sterling silver curb necklace chain. The pendant is made of 999, fine silver (higher silver content than 925).

The Tiny Bunny Necklace has been hand made by me (Joanna). I made the pendant by hand sculpting fine silver metal Art Clay, I then fired it in my small kiln at home. This paticular pendant is one of a kind, I made this one original and never had a mould made. There's truly only one in existence in the whole world.

The next very special step in my process is then sending away my finished pieces to the Edinburgh Assay Office - where each of my designs is hallmarked with the Edinburgh Hallmarks and my own unique Figment Forest sponsor mark (a tiny shield with FF inside). Once all my pieces have been approved and hallmarked, they again arrive home with me and are ready to go to new homes.

The Tiny Bunny Necklace is a miniature sized pendant. It is fully detailed on the front with a light vine detailed flat back, allowing it to lay flat against your chest making it especially comfortable to wear. The front of the pendant has been carved with swirls of grass and layered with the slightly raised detailed tiny bunny silhouette. The necklace weighs 2.8 grams including the weight of the chain.

The pendant has been oxidised to a dark grey / black patina. The bunny has been polished to a lighter silver, to create contrast and depth from the background. The pendant measures 2.2 cms tall including the bail loops, 1.3 cms without the bail loops, and 1 cms wide.

The chain that comes with this pendant is a fine cable link design and measures 18" in length. It is a beautiful dainty chain that is light and smooth to wear.

My Inspiration

All of my Figment Forest designs are created in my home studio. I live in beautiful central Scotland and work surrounded by birds chirping outside ,with a view out of my window to my garden - which is full of greenery and trees that brings me a lot of joy. Scotland is an enchanting place with so many tales of myth and wonder, these tales fascinate me and it's very easy to gain inspiration from them - which shows heavily in my fantasy designs. I photograph my work outdoors in my garden and also in a forest close to my home.
