About our Jewellery
Dear Rose, With Love sells antique, vintage and pre-owned jewellery. We guarantee that our pieces are
exactly as described and shown in the photos. All metals and gemstones are professionally tested and
guaranteed to be as advertised.
All of our pieces have been loved and worn before, so please do expect that they will likely have light signs
of wear and tarnish from their previous lives. This is all part of the charm of vintage and antique jewellery.
All items are gently cleaned, sanitised, and sympathetically polished so they will arrive with you ready to
wear. We never subject our jewellery to harsh cleaning methods, such as modern ultrasonic cleaners, and
we highly recommend to retain their condition and charm that you don't do this either - this carries the risk
of damaging your jewellery.
Caring for your jewellery
Treat your vintage and antique jewellery as you would treat a dearly beloved elderly friend, with respect,
kindness and gentle manner.
We highlight the importance of treating your vintage and antique jewellery with care. Be careful not to
bump your rings on furniture, as this may dislodge stones. Be aware of the gemstones you choose, and
how durable they are, soft stones (such as opals) are not recommended for daily wear. Remember to
remove your jewellery before washing, taking particular care with rings which have stones set with glue -
submerging in warm water can cause the glue to loosen and the stone to fall out. Avoid exposing your
jewellery to extreme hot or cold temperatures, as this can cause stones to crack. Avoid storing your
jewellery in direct sunlight, as in some cases this can cause a stone's colour to fade.
Vintage and Antique jewellery has stood the test of time, but can be unpredictable. Sometimes pieces
may have been sitting unworn in a collection for years, and you will be the first person to wear the piece in
its recent life. At times your jewellery may need repair or servicing. This includes, but is not limited to,
common defects in old jewellery such as, broken links in a necklace, broken clasps, and lost stones. We
recommend regular check ups with your local jeweller to always ensure that stones are secure. When you
purchase vintage or antique jewellery, keep in mind that repairs and replacements can be part of the journey
in ownership.
Shipping
We provide standard Free Worldwide Shipping for all orders! Our orders are sent with UK’s Royal Mail.
With our free shipping options, the following is provided:
For orders under the total of £200, no tracking number or insurance is provided.
For orders over the total of £200, a tracking number is provided, no insurance is provided.
If you require comprehensive parcel insurance, or shipping with an alternate carrier (such as UPS)
this can be arranged for an additional cost if you let us know prior to the item shipping.
International clients are responsible for paying any customs fees, duty fees and taxes implemented by
their own country, if applicable, on arrival of the item. Each country has their own rules regarding customs,
import taxes, and fees; none of which we have control over. These are not shipping charges and are not
included in the cost of your purchase.
Cancellation, Return and Refund
Please inform us of your intent to return within 3 days of the item arriving, and post back within 7, with the
tracking number of the parcel provided to us within this timeline also.
We will offer you a full refund, minus our deductions for costs we cannot recoup, which are:
- 10% restocking fee of the item price
- Original shipping costs
- Any non-refundable fees from the selected payment method (applicable to Paypal, Credit Cards, and some others)
The item must be in original condition, as sold, with no alterations, damage or additional wear, and arrive
safely back with us to be eligible for a refund. All items must be received back with their original
packaging in full. We charge 10% of the item price as a restocking fee to cover time and resources, such
as invoice sending and advertising charges.
International orders returned must clearly state 'RETURN' on the outer packaging to avoid us incurring
customs charges. If the customer does not mark 'Return' on the parcel and we incur customs charges due
to this, then this amount will be deducted from their refund price.
Non- Refundable items
- Customized items (such as resized rings, or items which have been altered in any way)
- Pierced jewellery (all earrings other than clip-ons) due to hygiene reasons.
- Clearance and reduced items
The above items are all considered a final sale at the time of purchase and are not eligible for return
Requests for an order cancellation will be treated as an order return and handled as per the conditions
above.
When you proceed to purchase from Dear Rose, With Love; you are agreeing that these Terms and
Conditions have been carefully read, fully understood and agreed upon.
