Antique Victorian Gold Tone Engraved Black Enamel Glass Locket Pendant Necklace

This beautiful antique Victorian era locket is oval in shape and has lovely swirl engraved details on the front center, with the focal point being a black enamel border in a Greek key design. The back of the locket features a glass panel which can be removed, currently there are no contents inside, but you could add your own. A fascinating and beautiful antique find, this locket is a petite size and would be lovely for daily wear.

Metal: Gold tone base metal
Size: 2.5 cms tall inclduing bail loop. Locket alone is 1.9 x 1.4 cms.
Age: Circa 1880, Victorian era
Weight: 2.7 grams

The glass frame is a secure fit in the frame, it can be carefully removed for you to put contents inside (a lock of hair, a small photo, or tiny gemstones).

In very good antique condition, with minimal surface wear to the gold and light tarnish, as to be expected from an old item. This locket has been professionally cleaned and polished, it's ready to wear or to give as a gift. Please see the photos.
