Antique Victorian Gold Pinchbeck Large Carved White Wolf Mother of Pearl Brooch Pin

A gorgeous Victorian large statement brooch, made of a gold tone pinchbeck metal. The brooch is set with a piece of mother of pearl, which has been encased under glass. It has been carved to depict a scene featuring a white fox or wolf. A really unusual and striking piece of antique jewellery.

The brooch measures 5.3 x 4.6 cms in size. With an unusual spring clasp that has a Patent mark and the some letters (LCNGS?). Made of a gold tone metal, possibly pinchbeck.

In good antique condition with minimal light wear and tarnish, as to be expected from an antique item. In places you can see there is some wear to the mother of pearl, this is under the glass so must have been caused when the carving was done. Please see the photos.
