Antique Victorian 9ct Yellow Gold Pearl Detailed Swooping Swallow Bird Brooch Pin

A sweet gold antique bar brooch, circa 1900 / 1910 - made at the end of the Victorian era / early Edwardian era. The brooch features a detailed miniature swallow bird. His wings are spread and tail fanned like he is swooping out of the sky. His body is adorned with tiny natural white pearls. The bar itself is a substancial, double gate, design. The brooch has a safety chain attached, and is lovely quality.

A swallow could be removed from the brooch and converted into a ring if desired. Please message us if you would like a quote from our jeweller for this. We have included photos in the listing of the brooch near a finger, so you would see how the bird would look as a ring.

This brooch stamped for 9ct Gold. The pin is made of a strong base metal. The safety chain is a gold tone metal. The length of the bar is 5.1 cms. The swallow bird himself measures 25 mms (wingspan). The brooch weighs 3.5 grams.

In very good antique condition with some light age related tarnish and wear. The pearls show some natural variance in tone, some are white and some are grey. Please see the photos.
