Antique Victorian 9ct Gold Ornate Engraved Ivy Leaves Cross Pendant Necklace Chain

A beautiful antique Victorian 9ct gold cross pendant. This pendant is a lovely large size cross, a very pretty design with engraved leaves on the front. These look like ivy leaves, and in the Victorian language of flowers ivy leaves were used to represent 'everlasting love'.

The pendant is stamped as 9ct gold on the back,we predict that it is was made circa 1900 - late Victorian era. The pendant measures 3.9 cms tall without the bail loops, and 4.5 cms with the bail loops - this is a nice larger size than most. The necklace weighs 1.3 grams, it is not flat, but is a 3D 'puffy' design - so the pendant is hollow on the inside which makes it lighter to wear. The cross is an old, warm tone yellow gold.

It can come with the 9ct gold chain pictured if you desire, this chain is a lightweight contemporary diamond cut curb chain, it measures 16" long. As the chain is not antique, it's a slightly brighter tone of gold than the cross itself is.

In very good antique condition. With some light surface wear, scratches, and tarnish, as to be expected from an antique item. This pendant has been professionally cleaned and polished, so it's ready to wear or to give as a gift. Please see the photos.
