Antique Sterling Silver Ornate Decorative Lion Panel Bracelet with Love Heart Padlock 15.7grams

A gorgeous sterling silver bracelet. This beautiful bracelet is classic, yet has a wonderful twist. It is made of a series of panels, which are all solid sterling silver, and each panel is repousse style. The decorative panels look to us to depict lions heads? They are wonderfully ornate and unique. Amazingly - underneath each repousse lion head is a stamped lion passant hallmark. The bracelet closes with a heart shaped padlock, the heart padlock is plain with no engravings - minimal and elegant. A quality piece of unusual mid-weight sterling silver jewellery that would be lovely to give as a gift.

We've done extensive research on this bracelet design and feel it looks a lot like Gourdel Vales and Co designs, however there are no markings to prove this.

SPECIFICS:
Length: 9" long (a large wrist size). We can make this bracelet smaller by removing some of the panels, on request, for no additional charge.
Age: Suspected late Victorian era, circa 1900. The padlock may have been added at a later date.
Hallmarks: The bracelet is solid sterling silver throughout, stamped 'SILVER' on the padlock clasp. It ishas been tested and verified as solid sterling silver throughout. Each panel is decoratively stamped with a lion passant hallmark on the front.
Width: The bracelet panel each measure 17.5 mms x 8.5 mms. The padlock measures 20 x 14.5 mms in size.
Weight: 15.7 grams

In very good antique condition. This bracelet has been professionally cleaned and polished, it's ready to wear or to give as a gift. Please see the photos
