Antique Edwardian Gold Tone Large Round Shield Memory Locket Pendant

A beautiful antique Edwardian era locket, made of a gold tone metal. This locket is round in shape and is a larger size than most lockets we see. It has a unique kaleidoscope style texture pattern on the front, and an ornate sheild cartouche. The back is plain and smooth.

Insidethe locket we have excellent provenance, a clear makers mark that says '1874 RBM Atrice'. RBM ATRICE (the RB MacDonal Co) made gold and gold filled jewellery beginning in 1874. This locket shows a slightly later mark and was made circa 1910.

There are raised claws inside the locket so you can place your own photos securely inside. the locket opens and closes securely from the top right.

Height: The locket measures 3.5 cms tall (without the bail loops) and 4.2 cms (including the bail loop).

The locket is good antique condition with some light wear. It has a few faint surface scratches and marks, and some tarnish, as to be expected from a used antique item. It has been professionally cleaned and polished and is ready to wear. Please see the photos.
