Antique Art Deco 3.35ct 14ct White Gold Showstopping Old Cut Diamond Cluster Statement Ring / Size M 1/2 or 6.75

A showstopping solid 14ct white gold original Art Deco era ring, circa 1920. This ring is simply gorgeous, with a large and very ornate face. The face is a long navette shape which is encrusted with 18 magnificent old cut natural earth mined diamonds. The ring itself is weighty and well made, with a relatively minimal high quality design that allows the diamonds to take center stage and shine. The navette shaped face is flattering and so elegant on the finger. This ring would make an amazing gift or a very special and impressive engagement ring. Photos don't do this ring justice, you'll be completely smitten when you see her in person! This is a statement piece like no other, a once in a lifetime find.

This ring features 18 diamonds, which have all been tested and verified as genuine. The diamond size approximations are as follows: four diamonds in a line down the center which measure 5mms in size each (approximately 1.84cts combined), 5 diamonds which measure 3.5mms (approximately 0.85cts combined), 3 diamonds which measure 3.25mms in size (approximately 0.42cts combined), 2 diamonds which measure 2.5mms in size (approximately 0.12cts combined), 4 diamonds which measure 4 x 2 mms in size (approximately 0.12cts combined). Combined, the total carat weight is an estimated 3.35cts.

The diamonds are a mix of antique cuts. The vast majority are old mine cut, there are also 2 old European cut, and 3 which are old single cuts. They are beautiful antique examples. They are predominately white, with just the occasional diamond that is slightly tinted brown in colour. One of the diamond ins the outer halo has a small black carbon inclusion (eye visible), but generally they are very clear with just small occsional white inclusions which can only really be seen under 10 x magnification. One or two of the diamonds have tiny surface nibbles, but overall the condition is excellent.

Size M 1/2 (a medium finger size). US size 6.75. Stamped as 14k Gold, signed with a makers stamp O.B.Allan and another indistinguishable hallmark. The ring weighs 7 grams. The face of the ring measures 28 x 12 mms in size, with a gentle 6.5 mm rise from the finger.

We have researched the makers stamp on this ring, and discovered more about 'O.B. Allan'. Oscar Bruce Allan was born in 1878 in Guelph, Ontario. He moved to Vancouver in 1897, where he was employed by George. E. Trory, jeweler and watchmaker. O.B. Allan opened his first jewelry store in 1904 at the corner of Granville and Pender Streets. In 1910 or 1911 the store was moved temporarily to 581 Granville (at Dunsmuir); in 1912 it was moved back to Granville and Pender into the newly-built Rogers Building. The business manufactured and sold jewelry, especially diamonds.

This ring is in very good antique condition with minimal signs of wear and light tarnish. This ring has been professionally cleaned and polished, it's ready to wear, to give as a gift, or to propose with. It will come with a quality new ring box, worthy of proposing with. Please see the photos.

We offer in-house ring re-sizing. Please contact us if the ring you like is not in your size, we will advise on if it can be sized and will give you a no obligation quote. Some styles (such as full eternity bands) cannot be sized at all, and some rings may only be sized within reason. We are always happy to give honest advice and guidance.

Items under £200 are posted via Royal Mail Tracked 48
Items over £200 are posted via Royal Mail Special Delivery

International orders:
Items under £200 are shipped via Royal Mail International Standard (no tracking, but tracking can be added for a £5 upgrade at checkout if needed)

Please note that we do not provide parcel contents insurance with our free standard shipping. Etsy Buyer Protection offers insurance for all parcels upto the value of £200/$250, this is free and included as standard with all Etsy orders.

RETURNS POLICY:

• We must be informed of the intent to return within 3 days of the item arriving, the item must be shipped back within 7 days of it arriving
• Returned items must be in original unaltered condition, must have all original packaging, and be sent back with full insurance. If returned with inadequate or missing packaging, additional charges will occur.
• Original shipping costs are non-refundable (postage costs will be deducted from the refund of any free delivery orders)
• For returns outside of the UK, a 10% restocking fee is charged.
• In instances where a client declines to pay an import charge, the restocking fee is 20%
