Antique Art Deco 18ct White Gold Blue Zircon and Diamond Solitaire Ring / Size M 1/2 or 6.75

A beautiful solid 18ct white gold original Art Deco era ring, circa 1920. This stunning solitaire design features a large blue zircon. The zircon measures 7.5 mms in diameter, which makes it approximately 1.67cts in size. It is a vibrant saturated sky blue, which sparkles amazingly. The platinum mount is open work and very fine, crown-like with petite double claws all round. The elegant tapers shoulders complete the design, they are each studded with a small natural diamond and finished beautifully with a milgrain detailed edge.

Zircon is a genuine gemstone which is often used as a substitute for diamond. It is a beautiful gemstone and is available in a number of colours. Zircon is considered a spiritual stone, a powerful stone for grounding. It helps to focus your mind on your ideals and achieve your goals. It is also said to enhance happiness, harmony and love in relationships. This ring would make a beautiful and unique engagement ring.

Size: UK M 1/2 / US 6.75 (a medium finger size)
Hallmarks: Stamped with an old '18ct and Plat' mark. Tested and verified as solid 18ct white gold with a Platinum gallery. Mysteriously, this ring has also been struck with a modern 375 (9ct) stamp, obviously added at a much later date and perhaps done during an import across countries. Please be assured this ring does test as 18ct gold and platinum.

Gemstones: 1x (7.5mm) round cut blue zircon (approximately 1.67cts), 2x (1.75mms) old cut natural diamonds

In very good condition with only very light signs of wear associated with age. The zircon has some light surface abrasion to the facets, as typical of vintage zircons. This ring has been professionally polished and is ready to wear, to give as a gift, or to propose with. Please see the photos.

Some styles (such as full eternity bands) cannot be sized at all, and some rings may only be sized within reason. We are always happy to give honest advice and guidance.
