Antique Art Deco 18ct Gold & Platinum 0.27ct Old Mine Cut Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring / Size N or 7

A gorgeous solid 18ct gold and platinum Art Deco diamond solitaire ring. This ring holds a rare and desirable old cushion mine cut diamond. The setting allows the main diamond to take center stage and shows it off to it's very best, the rectangular shoulders are a true element of the Art Deco styling, and they hold 4 small rose cut diamonds too. The band of the ring is made of 18ct yellow gold, and the gallery holding the diamond is made of platinum, with platinum accents on the shoulders too, this allows the diamond to have a lovely clean white sparkle. This ring would make an absolutely beautiful engagement ring.

This special old mine cut diamond has chunky facets and a cut culet. The diamond measures approximately 2.75 x 3.75 x 3 mms in size - approximately 0.27cts. A deep cut diamond that generates a lot of sparkle. It has been tested and verified and is guaranteed natural earth mined. The diamond is very white in colour but does some visible natural inclusions, the inclusions are mostly a silvery white (not black carbon) so give the diamond a slightly misted look. The 4 small rose cut diamond accents (all are arodun 1 to 1.75 mms in size) are very rocky and organic and are each a slightly different shape, they do have some inclusions. A couple of the rose cut diamonds are a little darker in colour tone as well.

Hallmarks: Faintly stamped as 18ct Gold & Plat, with an inscribed number '22' which could be suggestive that this ring was made in the year 1922.
