Antique Art Deco 18ct Gold and Platinum Old Mine Cut Diamond 0.78ct Solitaire Engagement Ring / Size P 1/2 or 8.25

A timeless high quality solid 18ct Gold and Platinum diamond solitaire ring. This ring is set with a rare and desirable old cushion mine cut diamond. The diamond is gorgeous and sparkly, beauty which is enhanced by slim flush bezel mount with open work gallery that allows light to enter behind the diamond. The setting allows the diamond to take center stage and shows it off to it's very best. Each diamond lined sparkly shoulder tapers to an elegant point, shouting 'look at me' and drawing your gaze to the central diamond. This ring is an exceptionally classic engagement ring style, and has been very finely made.

A lovely old mine cut diamond with chunky facets and a cut culet, a wide spread diamond that draws in lots of light and really sparkles, whilst giving a large apprearance on the finger.
The diamond measures approximately 5.8 x 5.5 x 3.25 mms in size - approximately 0.66cts. It has been tested and verified and guaranteed natural earth mined.
Clarity & Colour: The diamond is overall very clean with just a few tiny clear microscopic carbon inclusions visible under 10x magnification, there is one marginally larger feather inclusion near the culet base. Overall, none of these tiny inclusions are distracting to the naked eye and none detrect from this diamonds beauty on the hand.
The diamond has a slight yellow tint. This is very minimal, and again, not distracting from it's beauty.
Please be aware that antique diamonds should be judged on a case by case basis as they were made before the time where 'The 4 C's' were used to grade diamonds, which is why we do not apply 'The 4 C's' in our evaluation. All antique diamonds almost always score low on this scale. Antique diamonds were cut by hand, not machines, by historical lapidarists who skillfully worked to make the diamonds natural beauty shine through. They were handmade so each is unique and one of a kind, which makes them impossible to grade with modern day chart and formulas.
This is an excellent, top quality example of an antique diamond.

We offer in-house ring re-sizing. Please contact us if the ring you like is not in your size, we will advise on if it can be sized and will give you a no obligation quote. Some styles (such as full eternity bands) cannot be sized at all, and some rings may only be sized within reason. We are always happy to give honest advice and guidance.

UK Shipping: All items are sent tracked and insured via Royal Mail.

International Shipping:
Items under £200 - are sent with standard shipping, no tracking or insurance.
Items over £200 - are sent with standard shipping that includes a tracking number.
