Antique 1912 Edwardian 9ct Gold Ornate Purple Amethyst Statement Pendant Brooch

An absolutely beautiful Edwardian era pendant made of solid 9ct gold. This gorgeous pendant is an open work design with an impressive large 12.8ct natural purple amethyst in the middle. This amethyst is a perfect, light lavender colour with violet undertones. It looks perfect inside the sleek bezel mount with ornate yellow gold repousse border.

This fabulous antique pendant is rich in history and is fully hallmarked, it was made in the same year that the Titanic sank - 1912.

This beautiful pendant has multiple forms, it could be worn as a brooch too if desired! However, the brooch pin could be removed by our goldsmith if you would prefer - just let us know.

Hallmarks: 9ct Gold, Chester, 1912. Makers mark appears to be WBs (Ward Brothers).
Weight: 3.7 grams
Size: 3.8 cms tall including the bail loop. 2.5 cms tall excluding the loop.
Gemstone: 1 amethyst measuring 18 x 13 mms in size (approximately 12.8 cts in size)

In good antique condition. With minor light surface wear and tarnish, as to be expected from an antique item. The pendant has few small dings and dents. There are some old solder joins. The bar of the brooch pin is slightly misshaped with age but works perfectly fine. Please see the photos.
