Antique 1912 Edwardian 18ct Yellow Gold Old Cut Diamond and Ruby Trilogy Ring / Size O or 7.5

A beautiful solid 18ct gold ring, a stunning Edwardian era ring that was made in the year 1912 (the year that the Titanic sank!). This ring a classic trilogy design with a bypass twist. There are three gemstones, each elegantly claw set, 2 vibrant pink rubies and a central old cut diamond. A stunning colour combination, this ring looks beautiful on the hand.

The central diamond is a stunning natural earth mined diamond in a round old European cut. It measures 4 mms in diameter, which is approximately 0.25cts. It has some natural internal white inclusions (no black carbon) and has a tiny chip to the surface, visisble under 10 x magnification. It's still beautiful to the eye and very sparkly. Each ruby measures 3.5 mms in diameter, for a combined carat weight of approximately 0.34cts. We presume these are early examples of lab grown rubies. Lab grown gemstones share the exact same composition as naturally grown gemstones, and are typically 'perfect' examples as they are grown in optimum conditions.

Size O (a medium finger size). US size 7.5. Fully hallmarked with lovely crisp hallmarks that read: 18ct Gold, Birmingham, 1912, and makers mark W.H.T&S. The ring weighs 2.9 grams. The face of the ring measures 12 x 8 mms in size.

In very good antique condition with minimal light signs of age related wear and tarnish. This ring has been professionally cleaned and polished, it's ready to wear or to give as a gift. Please see the photos.

We offer in-house ring re-sizing. Please contact us if the ring you like is not in your size, we will advise on if it can be sized and will give you a no obligation quote. Some styles (such as full eternity bands) cannot be sized at all, and some rings may only be sized within reason. We are always happy to give honest advice and guidance.

UK Shipping: All items are sent tracked and insured via Royal Mail.

International Shipping:
Items under £200 - are sent with standard shipping, no tracking or insurance.
Items over £200 - are sent with standard shipping that includes a tracking number.

If insurance is required this can be requested, and we will provide a quote for the additional cost. In the event that a parcel goes missing in the post, we cannot be held liable or claim for compensation unless insurance has been chosen.
